Overview
With 55 extensions, Complete PHP is the most feature-rich PHP software
distribution available for Mac OS X. It is also a breeze to install. Complete PHP is
designed to install and operate seamlessly with Complete Apache 2,
however it can easily be modified to work with any Apache 2 software distribution. Complete PHP
is comprised of the following components:

PHP 4 Installer Package
The PHP 4 installer package for Mac OS X provides a double-clickable install of
the complete PHP 4 software distribution when coupled with Complete Apache 2. The installer will
automatically configure your Complete Apache 2 web server to load and use the PHP 4 module. This installer also includes the latest release of PEAR.

Comprehensive Install Guide
The 8 page Install Guide covers the installation of every component of Complete PHP 4
in detail, including screenshots. The guide also covers how to install Complete PHP 4 with
Apache 2 web server other then Complete Apache 2, and how to build your own PHP updates using the
included libraries and headers.

Turck MMCache
Starting with version 4.3.4R2, Complete PHP now includes Turck MMCache, a free open source PHP accelerator,
optimizer, encoder, and dynamic content cache. Turck MMCache typically reduces server load and can increase
the speed of your PHP code by up to 10 times. This extension is disabled by default.

Supported Extensions
Complete PHP provides support for over 55 extensions. Each extension is dynamically linked
to the PHP module. Complete PHP also includes the headers and development files necessary for
each extension (except for the ones provided by the operating system) so that users may build
their own PHP updates if they wish to do so.
